One of the newest members of the Northern Brigade, The King's 8th travelled all the way from Michigan for the event. They are an excellent addition to our merry band. Well led by Dan Oconnel , enthousiastic and hard charging. The would prove thier value in a few short minutes from this picture.

The opening shots. Wade Wells of Johnson Hall has fired on the advancing rebel scouts. They will fall back to draw them into our killing ground. Jim Stevens and his Butlers men are just out past Wade, controlling the edge of the cliff down into the lake at the bottom of the hill. The green bundles are cedar trees in wire enclosures designed to feed the many deer on the property.

Well into the fighting, Duncan's has crushed several sections of the rebels before taking this hilltop location and firing rapidly into the climbing rebels.
